The passing of a loved one is never easy, it takes a toll both physically and emotionally on the whole family. 7:18 is a photography series of the hospitalization of my mother, her passing, the final goodbyes and the events in between.

My name is Margarita Tenisi (they/them) and I am a Tongan Creative Producer in the Bay Area. I fell in love with storytelling and art at a young age. And haven’t stopped creating since! Growing up, I used art as an outlet to escape home issues and express my emotions with others.
I love capturing natural moments as well as creating and supporting BIPOC stories. Especially projects that talk about culture and decolonizing problematic traditions, actions, and words that we’ve normalized today. BIPOC stories need to be amplified, and I believe media is the best way to do it.
